Getting started

Feedbackzu has three moving pieces: a workspace (your account), one or more boards (where feedback lives), and the channels that feed them — the embeddable widget, your public portal, and your own team adding items directly. This page walks through the minimum setup to go from a fresh account to your first piece of feedback.

1. Create your workspace

Sign up to create a workspace. A workspace is the top-level container for your boards, your public portal, your roadmap, and your changelog — everything is scoped to it, and everyone on your team shares it.

2. Add a board

A board is where feedback items are collected and organized. Most teams start with a single “Feature Requests” board and split into more (e.g. “Bugs”, “Integrations”) once volume picks up. Boards can be public — visible on your portal — or private, for internal-only collection.

3. Start collecting feedback

You have three ways to get feedback into a board:

  • The widget — a single script tag that adds a feedback button to your app. See Installing the widget.
  • Your public portal — a hosted page at a clean URL where users can browse, submit, and vote on ideas.
  • Your team — add items directly from the dashboard, including on behalf of a customer (useful for feedback that arrives over email, Slack, or a sales call).

4. Triage and prioritize

Once feedback starts arriving, see Managing feedback for how to tag, merge, and promote items onto your public roadmap.

5. Close the loop

When you ship something, mark the originating item Shipped and publish a changelog entry. Everyone who voted or is following the item gets notified automatically — no manual outreach required.
