A roadmap board turns a pile of feedback into a ranked, transparent plan your users can follow — and vote on.
Publishing a board
Any board can be made public from its settings. A public board gets a clean, shareable URL on your portal where visitors can browse items, upvote the ones they care about, and leave comments.
- Public or private — run an open board your whole community can see, or keep boards private for internal use, beta cohorts, or named accounts (Pro).
- One vote per person — each visitor can upvote an item once. The strongest signal automatically rises to the top; there’s no manual tallying.
- Comments and reactions — users can discuss a submission, giving you the “why” behind a request instead of just a vote count.
Status workflow
Move items through a status as work progresses:
Open → Under Review → Planned → In Progress → Shipped
The public board groups everything into tidy columns (typically Planned, In Progress, and Shipped), and everyone following an item is emailed automatically whenever its status changes.
Getting items onto the roadmap
Feedback from the widget, your portal, or your own team can be promoted onto a board in a click from the triage view. Similar requests can be merged first so votes stay consolidated on one item.
When you ship
Mark the item Shipped and write a short entry in the changelog editor, optionally linking it back to the original feedback so the trail from request to release stays visible. Publishing notifies subscribers and everyone who was following the item.
